Life Lessons Learned Through Knitting

4/2/2014

  1. If you think you can’t do something, maybe it’s because you never tried it.
  2. Whatever is the warp eventually becomes the woof, sometimes sooner than you might expect.
  3. All you are in charge of is one little piece of the puzzle. Do that well and repeatedly, and then all that is left is to trust in a higher power of the pieces coming together and the grand design that results.
  4. Different people manage tension in different ways. You may even change your way within a single hour or a single stitch, but whichever way you do it, this is an essential skill you have to learn in order to last for the long run. More tension is harder. Loosen up.
  5. Little mistakes are best taken care of right away. They may not be apparent immediately, but when you are done, everyone will focus on them, and you will wish you had done whatever it took to fix them when they happened.
  6. Doing something backwards is not necessarily wrong.
  7. Feel free to mix colors.
  8. Math is your friend. So is music in ways that are not unrelated.
  9. It is important to know what you want to do.
  10. Some tools are more stable than others. Each has its pros and cons. Find these qualities about yours, for you will be depending on them every step of the way.
  11. It’s ok to take breaks in in the middle but not when when casting on or off.
  12. Tedium and good company cannot coexist.
  13. Don’t forget to look at your accomplishment along the way. It is necessary to feeling good about the work.
  14. People don’t care that you knit. It is still worth doing, for:
  15. Life is a net, and a net is knit.

Bhutas

2/24/2012

Since I started my work with astal forces in astrology, I have experienced many wonderful things. It would make sense that I also have encountered negative components of the astral world, namely bhutas or ghosts that are afflicting people.

I would like to share here briefly the stages of bhuta possession as seen in some clients’ lives:
  • The bhuta wants to get your attention, typically by moving objects outside of you or thoughts within you. Both are easy to do because of the manomayokosha and pranamayakosha being placed squarely in the astral world or  loka.
  • The bhuta wants your acknowledgement of its presence from the above event(s).
  • The bhuta wants you to give a name to it.
  • The bhhuta wants to teach you to regularly move your body in reaction to one of their thought influences or movements of objects.
  • The bhuta wants to use the connection you learned in moving your body by your then regular engagement in experiences that satisfy one of their cravings from worldly life, such as smoking, drinking, or sex.
  • At this stage, the bhuta has possessed you.

It really is a terrible thing to witness, and the stages are very consistent from possession to possession.

I would recommend that you stop the sequence at the early stages, for the power increases as you go along.  For example, NEVER give a name to a bhuta.

Be aware.  This is a real phenomenon.

Dr. Lad has mentioned the reality of these bhutas all along my education, and again, I have witnessed the sequence to the advanced stage in a few unfortunate clients, and I think we all have experienced a bhuta at the early stage.  I have.

It can seem innocent enough.  Let me tell you a story.

One time I was looking for a dropped ring that is of great sentimental value. I mean, I looked all over my rather open plan apartment. I then went outside and traced my steps with a flashlight and ran into 3 friends. I told them of my situation and we looked a bit when one of them recommended that we try again in the apartment.

All four of us spent a half hour combing my apartment floor almost literally. So kind of them. Finally, I looked up and appealed out loud with great earnestness, “Powers that be, please give me back my ring.” (I was standing in the hallway, a central place where all 4 of us had repeatedly looked.)

I looked down and it was at my feet.

Perhaps, it would be better not to have appealed to the “powers”.  I don’t know.  It was an instinctive act.  I don’t want a precedent started.

Also, I grew up in an old Victorian.  All my family saw and talked to a ghost supposedly named John.  I had a mental refusal to engage in such things.  Nope, nope, nope.  I don’t even want to know if he was kind like they said.  He’s a ghost. He needs to embrace Godhead.

Remember, these are the astral entities who have not chosen to go into the light.  Why would you want to engage with them?  If you feel you must engage with them, tell them that they no longer have a name and that they MUST go back into the light.

64 Bit Computing and the Golden Age

2/20/2009

We are about to enter the Golden Age, many spiritual teachers agree.

I think 64 bit computing is going to facilitate this transition.

How?  Well, consider some of the ways 64 figures in Nature:

  • the 64 complete codons in DNA
  • the 64 complete steps in computer science (and hence neuronal communication, etc.)
  • the base 64 of the orbitals of the elements in the Periodic Table
  • the 64 complete steps of the I Ching
  • the 64 cards of the Tarot
  • the 64 padas of the Manduka Mandala in Vaastu Shastra
  • the 8 possible vikruti types of the mother times the 8 possible vikruti types of the father when a baby is formed.

Am I missing anything?

Thus, my intuition tells me that the world is going to open up when everyone starts using 64 bit computers.  Let’s see.

Also, eight is the Ayurvedic Astrology Vedic numerology number for Saturn.

Sixty four is thus Saturn squared, Saturn rarefied.

That could very well describe Aquarius, since Aquarius is the more developed of the two constellations owned by Saturn!

Perfect for the Aquarian Age about to come upon and through us.

Peoplenomics

10/29/2008

The recent stock market downturn was not so difficult for me.

For one thing, I am not in the market.  For another, I was able to tell my friends who were to get out about two weeks ahead of time.  I think I saved them around ten million dollars all told.  Not bad.

You can ask them for copies of the emails, those of you who know who they are.

Well, there was one exception, a good friend who didn’t believe me, and he lost about 70% of his portfolio this month.

I would like to say that my prescience was all because of astrology.

Sure enough, Mars and Venus in Libra aspected by Saturn would suggest troublesome desires and motility within restriction in areas of banking and markets.

However, I hadn’t relied on that for my prediction.

I relied on the guy at Peoplenomics. He is a meditator who uses web bot predictions to cast his prognostications. He’s also been right a few times before, and I recommend his site.
