Understanding Weather Systems Within Timescapes
Giraldus Cambrensis wrote about the Book of Kells, “Fine craftsmanship is all about you, but you might not notice it. Look more keenly at it and you will penetrate it to the very shrine of art. You will make out intricacies, so delicate and subtle, so exact and compact, so full of knots and links, with colors so fresh and vivid, that you might say that all this was the work of an angel, and not of a man.” I believe the same can be said of any given person's chart.
You are legendary.
Quite the opposite of binding you to some deterministic fate, good astrology gives you real freedom, freedom that is only (re)gained by being truly you.

Vedic Astrology, also known as Jyotisha, on which Ayurvedic Astrology is based, is an ancient form of looking for wisdom from the skies. It is where math meets myth. It is the study of life.
It is 'the eyes of the Vedas'.

The Subtle, Spiritual, and Unseen
To everything there is a reason and a season.
The primary differences of Jyotisha from Western astrology are a precessed zodiac (the one we actually see in the sky), the inclusion of primarily visible stars and planets, and a system of measuring times of subinfluences (dashas) that is highly predictive. There are other differences.
I remember when I first saw a kundali or Vedic Astrology square. Hart had just put an empty one up on the board in an advanced class that he let me sit in when I didn’t know anything.
I said to myself, "Yep, this is it. This is what I have been waiting for [to study]."
My birth family has always been fairly into Western Astrology but I resisted, being the science-y one in the family.
My science background has served me well, for Jyotisha is the most observable, testable, replicable and predictive thing I have ever come across.
Now I get most of my knowledge, most of my comfort, most of my ideas, and most of my courage from the stars, along with from my loved ones.
