Degrees Spreadsheet
Bulk-calculate planetary positions in Tropical and/or Sidereal degrees for any set of birth data. Everything is computed locally in your browser — no cloud, no data leaves your machine except anonymous place-name lookups.
How to use
- Download the spreadsheet template.
- Fill in birth dates, times, and places — one person per row. Commas are fine inside the birthplace (e.g.
Pittsburgh, PA). Save the file. - Upload the saved file below and press Calculate.
- Positions appear in seconds. Download the completed CSV with one click.
Included: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Rahu (mean north node), Chiron, Ascendant, Midheaven, and the Lahiri ayanamsha. Optional: the asteroids Ceres, Pallas, Juno, and Vesta, plus a retrograde (Rx) flag for every body. Tick the options below before calculating.
Sidereal placements: subtract the ayanamsha column from the others, or tick “Sidereal (Lahiri)” below.
Whole sign house: 1 + Floor[x/30] · Degrees in sign: Mod[x, 30]
Positions are geocentric ecliptic longitudes of date (apparent), agreeing with JPL Horizons to within about two arc-minutes for the planets and the Moon, and roughly one arc-minute for Chiron and the four asteroids. Rahu is the mean lunar node; the retrograde flag marks any body whose longitude is decreasing. Place names are resolved with the free Open-Meteo geocoder, which also supplies the historical time zone. Other asteroids can be added on request — combine the raw positional data with machine learning for a powerful combination, and let Renay know what else would be useful.
